Anil Ambani questioned by ED regarding alleged contravention of foreign exchange law

Reliance ADA Group Chairman Anil Ambani presented himself before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Mumbai on July 3 as part of an investigation related to the alleged violation of foreign exchange regulations, according to official sources.

The 64-year-old industrialist visited the federal agency’s office in the Ballard Estate area to provide his statement in connection with the case, which is registered under various sections of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).

While further details about the specific case for which Ambani was summoned are not currently available, this is not the first time he has been questioned by the ED. In 2020, he appeared before the agency in a money laundering case involving Yes Bank promoter Rana Kapoor and others.
