Countdown Begins for Chandrayaan-3 Launch at SHAR

Sriharikota, Tirupati , AP: The Satish Dhawan Space Center (SHAR) is all set for the eagerly awaited launch of Chandrayaan-3. The countdown process will commence today, Thursday, at 2:35:13 pm and will span 24 hours. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) chief, Dr. Somnath, arrived at the SHAR to oversee the preparations.

The LVM-3P4 rocket, carrying the Chandrayaan-3 satellite, is scheduled to take off on Friday afternoon at 2:35:13 pm from the second launch pad. Dr. Somnath inspected the carrier and subsequently held discussions with scientists at the guest house, including project director Weeramuthuvel and mission directors S. Mohankumar and Narayanan. Vehicle director Bijus Thomas was also present during the review.

The Chandrayaan-3 mission holds great promise for India’s space exploration endeavors, building upon the successes of previous lunar missions.
