Haryana Government Plans to Introduce Pension Scheme for Unmarried Individuals Aged 45-60

In a progressive move, the Haryana government has announced its intention to introduce a new pension scheme specifically designed for unmarried individuals between the ages of 45 and 60. The Chief Minister of the state, Manohar Lal Khattar, made this announcement during the JanSamvad program held in Karnal. The scheme aims to provide monthly pensions to unmarried men and women in this age group, addressing their financial needs and challenges.

During the program, a 60-year-old unmarried man raised concerns about difficulties in applying for a pension. Responding to his query, CM Khattar stated, “We have initiated preparations to launch a new scheme, ‘Pension for Unmarried,’ which will offer monthly pension benefits to unmarried individuals above 45 years of age. We are working towards implementing this scheme within the next few months.” Furthermore, the Chief Minister shared plans to increase the existing old age pension to Rs. 3,000 within the next six months.

While specific eligibility criteria and pension amounts have not yet been disclosed, the news of this innovative scheme has already gained significant attention and is being widely shared.
