Infosys, one of India’s biggest IT services companies, has decided to delay salary increases for its employees below the senior management level. Usually, these salary Hikes happen in the June quarter, but this year employees have not received any updates. It is a sign of the challenges companies are facing due to the uncertain economic situation, with projects being reduced or canceled.
Workers who are aware of the situation have confirmed that they have not received their expected salary hikes for the June quarter. They have also not been informed about when they can expect the increases. It is unclear if senior management salary hikes, usually given in July, have also been postponed.

In 2020, Infosys froze salary hikes because of the financial strain caused by the pandemic. However, in January 2021, they resumed their regular increment cycle. The delay in salary hikes for non-senior employees demonstrates the financial pressure that companies are currently experiencing. In order to maintain stability and manage costs, adjustments need to be made.
Infosys has not provided an official explanation for the delay or a new timeline for the pay increases. Employees hope that the company will communicate the necessary information soon to address their concerns. This decision reflects the wider impact of economic uncertainty on the IT industry and highlights the importance of adaptability during challenging times.
